Julian Savell(FA) vs. Bryan Williams(NJFC)
Rogan MacLean(UGWC) vs. GWP TV Champ, Lewis Hilton-Williams (GWP/WRPD)
WRPD Evolution&Heavyweight Champ, Mr. Rottentreats(WRPD) vs. Terry McKenna(MW)

We're back with another recap of a WRPD event and this time it's the first of our two shows this weekend in Japan and this first event will feature five of the six 1st Round matches for the 2016 Total J Cup tournament. This is a tournament that presents the best Junior Heavyweights in the world. Wrestlers from all over are competing and have been invited to show what they've got in an effort to win the trophy and call them the best.

Declan SalaZar(BFW) vs. Adam Alpha(ICWF)

It was Declan SalaZar of BFW taking on Adam Alpha of ICWF to kick things off for the Total J Cup 2016. Both men put each other to the test with a variety of high flying maneuvers. Kicks and chops from Adam Alpha. Forearm strikes and kicks from Declan SalaZar. Double Arm DDT and German Suplex from Alpha. Yakuza Kick and Dragon Suplex from SalaZar. Both men were very equal in their fighting styles and move choices seemed to be just as impactful. This is when Declan hits a standing Slice Bread #2 on Alpha. Suddenly, the WRPD team known as 2Generation makes their way out - Principe, along with 1/2 the Junior Heavyweight Tag Champ Leocadio - and Principe tries entering the ring, but the ref stops him. Leocadio tries as well, and it's clear to everyone except the ref that this is serving as a distraction from the other 1/2 of the Jr Tag Champs, Kuroi Taiyo, who comes from under the ring and drives the championship into the skull of Declan SalaZar. He then hits a Handspring Cutter, "Darkness Falls" and pulls Alpha on top of him before he exits the ring under the ropes, just as his teammates stop distracting the ref. Alpha is out as well and has no idea what's going on as the ref counts to three. Alpha comes to, a bit confused, but the win is his nonetheless. Why did 2Generation just attack Declan SalaZar?! Are they incahoots with Adam Alpha? This seemed calculated, but why...

+Winner: Adam Alpha(9:23)

Johnny Vivacious(SAP) vs. Bronx Valescence(NJFC)

The second match of the night saw SAP's Johnny Vivacious taking on Bronx Valescence, aka Bronxy V, of NJFC. Johnny V dropkicked Valescence before the bell and this started with some brawling outside. Vivacious sent Valescence into the barricade and ring steps, really going after him. Bronxy V grabs his shoulder and Johnny went after it. The 21-year pro continued the attack in the ring with a Crooked-Arm Lariat followed by a twin one-finger salute that really riled the crowd up. Vivacious stretched him in the ring with numerous submission holds including the Abdominal Stretch and Clover Leaf. Bronx continued to reach the ropes and stay in this one and Johnny went for Suplex Assault but Bronx countered and slipped out of the ring, grabbing his sunglasses, and relaxing in the corner on a chair. This pissed off Johnny who charged after but Bronx ran in the ring and stepped on the bottom rope and pulled up the middle, suggesting Johnny Vivacious get in there. This led to Johnny sliding back into the ring but Bronx suckered him in and after a few clothesline misses, Johnny comes off the ropes and right into a Blue Thunder Bomb from Bronx for a two count. Johnny didn't allow the momentum to continue though as he would then hit the Suplex Assault and nearly score the victory. He then went for the V.I.P. from the top but Bronx elbowed out and Johnny hit the mat, setting up for Bronx to hit his trademark True Light's Flight, sans sunglasses that have costed him to miss the move in the past, and he connected with the Diving Corkscrew Moonsault and picked up the three count!

+Winner: Bronx Valescence(11:02)

Julian Savell(FA) vs. Bryan Williams(NJFC)

Up next it was IYHWF's Julian Savell taking on NJFC's Bryan Williams. This was a solid match between two great junior heavyweights. The crowd really dislike Julian and he worked the crowd over plenty to get them to hate him even more as he went after Williams with various heel tactics. The Unsaved Stomp was blocked by Williams and a schoolboy roll-up led to the three count victory.

+Winner: Bryan Williams(7:10)

Rogan MacLean(UGWC) vs. GWP TV Champ, Lewis Hilton-Williams (GWP/WRPD)

Rogan MacLean represents UGWC while Lewis Hilton-Williams represents GWP as their TV Champion and WRPD as a recent signing. They shook hands before the bell, very nice considering both are babyfaces. This was only Hilton-Williams' second singles match in a WRPD ring, while we've never seen UGWC's MacLean in one of our shows. They had a great feeling out bit where both man seemed to find a way to one-up the other. Hilton-Williams went after the leg of MacLean, applying various submissions to weaken the high flying offense. The submissions didn't end things for Rogan, as he countered with an Enziguri with his good leg, and a DDT for a two count. MacLean saw an opening in the corner as he drove his knee into the face of LHW after stepping up the middle rope. LHW got busted open from the Knee Uppercut and it appeared that MacLean's leg wasn't treating him well after that move as well. He tried applying the Lion Tamer but Williams was able to counter out into a Shining Wizard into a Vertabreaker for a two count. He went back to the leg with a Dragon Srew Leg Whip into a single crab while blood trickles down the face. Looked like his eyebrow has a laceration. Rope break, Rogan tried for a springboard move, but his leg gave out on him when he jumped onto the top rope and he collapsed in the ring which set up for a running Flip Bottom and a two count from LHW. The GWP TV Champ had the advantage as he looked to end things but MacLean wasn't done yet as he dodged a move in the ropes and LHW was sent to the outside. Rogan slapped his leg around to wake it up and give himself the added ability to run through the ropes with a diving forearm! He got a pop from the crowd for that but it looks like his leg is still giving him issues. He looked at his forearm and saw the blood from the face of LHW and he smiled. He then grabbed Hilton-Williams and drove him face-first into the apron, causing a blood stain on the white surface. This seemed to please Rogan and a more aggressive side of him appears as he pushed LHW face-first into the ring post! The referee insists Rogan get back in the ring with this match but Rogan won't stop now as he whips LHW hard into the barricade. Rogan slipped into the ring to break the count of the ref but then right back with a big boot to the face of Hilton-Williams, smashing his head into the barricade. He then started to gouge the eyes and this is where the referee gets in between them and pulls MacLean off of him. It's almost as if the blood is a motivator at this point and Rogan has flipped a switch. Rogan isn't done now as he hits a DDT to the floor. The ref says he does one more thing on the outside and Rogan is gone from the tournament. That's all it took. Rogan set his sights on the ring. After pushing LHW back in the ring he went up top but he spent too much time tending to his leg while going up that LHW hit the ropes to rack him, however Rogan was ready for it as he instinctively lowered himself onto his butt on the top rope, and kicked LHW in the face hard, followed by a float over to the apron into a Springboard Spinning Heel Kick and he then went up top, favoring the leg, but he came off with Chasing The Lights, and the Moonsault Double Foot Stomp connected. He crawled into the cover, holding his leg, and got the three count. LHW did kick out, but he kicked out baaaaarely too late, just after the three count, and this one is over. Rogan surveyed the ring and appreciated the blood stains on the mat as his hand was raised in victory. Interesting how Rogan started with the heel tactics late in the match, after witnessing the blood as a result of his knee to the face earlier in the match. This is a side of Rogan MacLean the wrestling world has never seen before, until now. I guess you really do have to do the unexpected if you want to make an impact in the Total J Cup!

+Winner: Rogan MacLean(12:45)

WRPD Evolution&Heavyweight Champ, Mr. Rottentreats(WRPD) vs. Terry McKenna(MW)

The main event saw the WRPD Evolution & World Heavyweight Champion Mr. Rottentreats taking on MW's Terry F'n McKenna. These two jockeyed for position early, with neither one gaining a clear advantage. Mr. Rottentreats was the first to gain the advantage with a low dropkick to the knee of McKenna. He picked the ankle but McKenna wrestled away into a Front Facelock but Treats countered out into an Armbar. McKenna rolled out and went for the Crossface on Treats, but Treats rolled through with a big kick to the mush of Terry F'n McKenna, and followed that up with a......cravate! Ole! Off the ropes and a Diving Back Elbow sends Treats to the outside for a regroup. McKenna went after him and they brawled on the outside, but Treats is a bit of the hardcore type when the time calls for it and he hit a big knee breaker onto the steps. Treats pushed one of the ringside crew off a chair and folded it up, threatening to use it. The referee took it from him and threatened to DQ him. Treats snarled and laid in the punches on McKenna against the steps before going up to the apron and coming off with something that was countered into a Roundhouse Kick! McKenna then hit a big Uppercut and Treats went back into the ring with McKenna coming after him and hitting a double knee backbreaker. This effected McKenna a bit before the pin and a one count. They got to their feet and began exchanging kicks and strikes, and Treats picked the leg of McKenna and McKenna flips out and goes after that bad left shoulder of Treats, yanking on it and dropping Treats to the mat. McKenna went for an armbar, but Treats did his best to escape and go after the legs of McKenna. Treats struggles to free himself of the armbar and he manages to grab the legs of McKenna and escape, then applying the Indian Deathlock! McKenna screamed out in pain and grabbed the ropes to break the hold. They both get back to their feet and battle it out, both men trying to go after the arm or the leg. Crossface Chickenwing from McKenna, escaped and turned into a Double Knee Buster from Mr. Rottentreats! He then applies the Indian Deathlock again! McKenna tries to escape! Treats completed the hold with the abdominal stretch and the Human Twisting Baloon I causes McKenna to tap out!

+Winner: Mr. Rottentreats(13:09)

That concludes Night 1 in the doubleshot weekend. We now know that Adam Alpha, Bronxy V, Bryan Williams, Rogan MacLean, and Mr. Rottentreats will advance. Tomorrow night we find out if it's YoYo Banzai or Vil Vidas, Jr who complete the 1st Round Matches.
